Online Certificate in Meeting & Event Management
The Online Certificate in Meeting and Event Management is a six-month credit based program that prepares students for career opportunities in the ever popular meeting and event industry. This program is designed to provide knowledge in all aspects of event and meeting management, including the selection of appropriate meeting sights, pre-event publicity and marketing, audio-visual aids, budgeting, negotiation, and contracts. This certificate requires completion of four courses: HT-MGT 333 Special Event and Conference Planning (formerly HT-MGT 331), HT-MGT 332 Convention Sales, HT-MGT 334 Event Management, & HT-MGT 382 Hospitality Marketing. Required courses will be taught each year during the months of January-July.
